I offer no excuse at all for including this walk. Apart from the fact that we, (my wife Vicky, who incidentally is responsible for all the planning and the write up) and I took a leisurely 17 nights/18 days to complete,it was also the best holiday we have ever had. Not only is it a most satisfying feeling to walk across the roof of England, it also shows that England is a beautiful country.
